The Inc Life Disrumption Playlist Series — Ep. 2

Last week I launched the ‘Disrumption’ Playlist Series, sharing with you the songs that move me and get me through the myriad responsibilities I have to complete any given week. I did that with the intention to share a new list of songs weekly. But I got to thinking, wouldn’t it would be fun to spotlight other top Black women entrepreneurs. Why yes self, that would be awesome! So, I reached out to some of my faves. And now we’re off!

To kick off the profile series, today we get to know Bola Sokunbi of Clever Girl Finance. The personal finance guru works everyday to empower women to take charge of their finances and live life on their own terms. And, to motivate the moves needed to get it all done, her playlist mixes classical, R&B and international feel good fun! I had ball being introduced to artists and songs that are new to me. Maybe, they’ll add some pep to your two-step, too!

In addition to her playlist, check out her favorite tech hacks and gadgets, the quote by someone she admires that has gone before her on this entrepreneurial journey and her inspirational advisor to keep her motivated along the way.

Song #1: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik — Mozart

Helps me concentrate when I am creating content for my business. Puts me in the no distractions zone.

Song #2: Calling All Lovers (the album) — Tamar Braxton

One of my favorite albums at the moment. Takes me back to my R&B days.

Song #3: Sorry — Beyonce

When I’m in my boss moments and excited about a win!

Song #4: Bankulize — Mr Eazi

A work mode jam. I like to listen to this when I’m working on tasks that don’t require a ton of focus. Puts me in a good mood.

Song #5: Chemistry — Simi & Falz

Another work mode jam. Puts me in a good mood .

Song #6: Duro — Tekno

More of my feel good music.

Song #7: Say You Won’t Let Go — James Arthur

This song melts my heart and makes me want to cry. If I listen to it while I work, my day is done; ( lol) but, it’s soooo heart warming.
